1. Information we collect
- Account information such as name, email, phone number and role.
- Tutor profile information such as subjects, experience, fee, teaching mode, area and availability.
- Student profile and learning-request information.
- Payment and transaction references required to verify contact unlocks and refunds. Full card/UPI credentials are processed by the payment provider.
- Optional approximate location information when a user enables nearby tutor alerts.
- Platform activity and security information needed to operate and protect the service.
2. How we use information
- To provide tutor discovery, matching, requests, messaging and dashboards.
- To verify tutor profiles and maintain platform safety.
- To send relevant notifications, including nearby tutor availability alerts.
- To process and verify payments, contact unlocks and eligible refunds.
- To prevent fraud, abuse and unauthorized access.
- To improve EDUXAE functionality and reliability.
3. Location information
Location sharing is optional. When enabled, EDUXAE may store latitude/longitude and use approximate distance calculations to determine whether relevant nearby tutor notifications should be sent.
Location data is not intended to be used as a public display of a user's exact address.
4. Private contact information
Tutor phone/email information is stored separately from the public tutor profile. Access is restricted according to EDUXAE's authentication, payment and authorization rules. Admin users may access tutor contact information for verification and support purposes.
5. Payments
Payments are processed through Razorpay or another authorized payment provider. EDUXAE receives transaction references necessary to confirm payment status, contact access and refunds. Payment-provider policies also apply.
6. Data sharing
EDUXAE does not make private contact details publicly searchable. Information may be shared with service providers where necessary to operate the platform, process payments, provide authentication/hosting, or comply with legal obligations.
7. Security
EDUXAE uses access controls, authenticated services and separate storage for sensitive contact information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so users should also protect their passwords and devices.
8. Retention and deletion
Information may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for account operation, security, dispute handling, financial records and legal obligations. Users may contact EDUXAE to request account/data assistance, subject to applicable requirements.
9. Children
Where a student is a minor, a parent or legal guardian should supervise use of the platform and tutoring interactions.
